I'm Lovin' It? McDonald's Restaurants in Hong Kong Now Hosting Weddings

Just when we think we've heard of every possible wedding venue...something comes along and surprises us! Apparently, McDonald's restaurants in Hong Kong are the latest potential space to consider when choosing your wedding venue. From CNBC:
"McDonald's has hosted about a couple dozen wedding parties and expanded the service from three restaurants to 15, wrote McDonald's spokeswoman Jessica Lee in an email. The fast-food giant also hosts engagement, anniversary and bridal shower parties.

'We started the program because many customers tell us that McDonald's is where they first started dating...McDonald's is where their love stories grew,' Lee added. 'This connection is exactly why they want to hold their wedding parties and even anniversary parties at McDonald's--to relive sweet beginnings and bring their romantic story full circle.'"
That's...kinda romantic actually. And it's great for a couple on a budget! The most expensive wedding package, which costs about $1290 USD, includes a two-hour rental of the McDonald's, 50 wedding invitations, McDonaldland favors for 50 guests, an apple pie cake display, decorations, an emcee, and more. (We hope the "and more" includes...food?) And the least expensive package is just $373!
While this idea might sound alittleout there, we're not judging. It's not so different from having your engagement photos taken in your favorite coffee shop or getting married at your favorite restaurant. Finding a place that is meaningful to you is a great way to choose your venue. Right now, the McDonald's option is only available in Hong Kong, but couples who are into the idea might be able to ask their local Mickey Ds about having a wedding there (like one UK couple did in 2013). If you love fast food but aren't feeling a McDonald's wedding, you could always have your engagement photos taken at a diner or have someone bring in McDonald's as a late-night snack at your reception.
