Fans are waiting with bated breath for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's OTT series, 'Heeramandi'. The series is being touted as the game-changer in India.
The series boasts of an ensemble star cast. Shabana Azmi and Mumtaz, who were also approached for the series, couldn't be a part of it. Owing to the same, the roles that were written, keeping in mind the two veteran actresses were scrapped by the filmmaker, rather than offer the parts to anyone else, a report in Bollywood Hungama stated.

The series is reportedly being shot on huge sets representing a sprawling kotha. The shooting is taking longer than expected. Sequences that were meant to be shot in one day are taking as much as three days.
According to reports, the OTT giant on which the series will stream has full faith in the director and is not drawing out budget boundaries. According to them, 'Heeramandi' will be their game changer in India.
The series also stars Sonakashi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Huma Qureshi and Manisha Koirala.
